Re-evaluate disabled Codex state colors to WCAG 2.2
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Brought to attention by Bárbara, the color contrast of disabled states of several of the components could actually not comply to revised and clearer stated Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in latest version 2.2 anymore.

We should evaluate the guidelines in this respect.

Event Timeline

WCAG has published “Understanding Success Criterion” minimum contrast ratio (AA) in the meantime. And it has been unchanged: “Text or images of text that are part of an inactive user interface component, […] have no contrast requirement.”

From my POV this task should be declined. cc: @bmartinezcalvo @CCiufo-WMF
