Add idwiki to WikiWho
Closed, ResolvedPublic3 Estimated Story PointsFeature

Description

Feature summary (what you would like to be able to do and where):
Add Indonesian Wikipedia (idwiki) to XTools Blame dropdown list to enable look up any edits made on idwiki.

Use case(s) (list the steps that you performed to discover that problem, and describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve. Do not describe only a solution):
Currently, there are five Wikipedias that can use the feature. Indonesian Wikipedia is not listed, unfortunately. To use the feature, I (and perhaps other Wikipedians) need to use external website that gives the same feature, namely ramselehof.de. Sometimes, I experience a slow access when using the website. Therefore, one of the solutions is to add idwiki to the XTools Blame list to enable users use the in-house tool.

Benefits (why should this be implemented?):
Indonesian Wikipedia users can use the feature from our own infrastructure, without having to rely on outside instance.

Roadmap

  • Merge code to add id language to WikiWho (commit)
  • Process the dump
  • Merge code to add idwiki to EventStreams listener and restart services

MusikAnimal set the point value for this task to 3.

Downloading the XML dumps now, and will start the initial import either this weekend or Monday. Support idwiki should be live by mid-next week at the latest.

Because there was only one dump file for idwiki, there's only one worker processing it. This has slowed things down dramatically. We're currently at about ~390,000 articles, so a little over halfway done. It probably won't finish for another few days at least.
