Vite 3 has been released recently, and we would like to update to it in the repository for the Special:NewLexeme page.
This was attempted previously, but had to be reverted because there was a problem with the node version.
This is currently blocked, because Vite 3 requires at least Node v14.18.0, however in CI we still run v14.17.5.

This is currently blocked on T314470: Upgrade all CI jobs for WMF-deployed projects from Node 14 to Node 16, otherwise it fails in CI.
There should probably be a super-task with this task's actual name, and this one should specify it's only caring about Vite as used for the codebases in Wikidata-world, to avoid confusion. My understanding from DST is that they aren't using Vite 3 yet for other reasons.
