Add information for organizer on what participant information is collected
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

As an organizer, I want to know what information is collected on participants if I enable registration, so that I can properly informed of the behavior of event registration and make the choices that are best for me.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Add the following text: "Only usernames will be collected from participants during registration. Learn more."
  • The "Learn more" link should link to documentation for the tool on Mediawiki.org
  • Note that this messaging will change when we begin to collect more user information in V2

@gonyeahialam I think I remember that we used to have this information in earlier prototypes. Do you remember why this was removed, since it is a requirement for V1? And do we have a wireframe or prototype example of where/how this is displayed? Thanks in advance.

It is displayed at the bottom of the Enable event registration form below the Enable registration button.

There is ongoing discussion regarding the best place for it to appear so that it will be more visible to organizers, which will be addressed in V2.

AC is met. Checking to make sure the icon and font weight differences between comp and the build are acceptable @gonyeahialam?

The icon is acceptable but the font weight isn't, the font weight should be as it is in the design

Riiiight, so, for this one... I used the default MessageWidget styling, which makes the text bold. Removing that is relatively easy, but I wasn't sure whether to do it for 1) consistency, and 2) the fact that we would need to add a new stylesheet just for this minor change. Since it seems important, I'll change it with an inline hack.

I am able to see this when I test on the beta cluster (see attached screenshot example), so I'm marking this as Done.
