Could we get a 1.39 maintenance release after T326071 has been fully fixed. This issue can completely erase the information of revision authors in some wikis while upgrading. And while we do ask people to back up their wiki before upgrading, there are certainly many who do not do so out of convenience.

T328169: Create MediaWiki maintenance script for reconnecting lost content blobs would be nice, but unless anyone is going to be working on it any time soon, it's probably not worth waiting for.
If not, I can plan to ship 1.39.2 next week (probably after the next round of translation updates)...
I would agree and since no one started to write a patch imo you can do this release without that.
