As part of MinT for Wiki Readers MVP (T359072), this ticket proposes to support the exploration of links in the Translation view (T359801). In this context, the user is exposed to a machine translated version of the content. Thus, internal links come from the source article and their label gets translated as part of the machine translation. However, the page these links point to from the source may not be what the user is interested in (since the user may not know the source language). In this context it makes more sense to provide access to contents in the target language. Directing users to the local wiki content when the topic is covered there, or providing access to the machine translated version of the source article when such page does not exist on the target wiki.
A preview in the style of Page previews and Wikipedia previews projects is used to inform the user about whether they can access human or machine-created content about the linked item.

Design details
The elements of this step are shown when users tap on an internal link from the machine translation. This step includes the following elements:
- Overlay An overlay makes the translation contents partially visible to keep context while providing enough contrast for the user to focus on the elements presented on top. Taping on the overlay will close the link preview and remove the overlay. See the Codex Overlay component in Figma
- Preview panel. A panel attached to the bottom of the viewport provides key information about the contents of the link:
- Header with the thumbnail image, title of the page, and the close action using a Close icon. Taping the Close icon will close the Preview panel (and remove the overlay) to return to the Translation View.
- The content availability indicator: communicates whether content is available in the target wiki ("Written in <target-language>" with UserGroup icon) or not ("Automatic translation" message with Robot icon).
- Content excerpt. Up to four lines of the initial contents of the linked page (e.g., four lines from the initial paragraph of the lead section from a Wikipedia article.
- Action to access the contents. This will provide access to the article in the target language ("Read article") or to the Translation View (T359801) with the machine translation of the selected article.
