It's kind of self-explanatory: currently such items are shown like any other items. In a city with many items it's difficult to find the item about the city and the same goes for a federal state, administrative districts, and so on.

Lots of useful or interesting information and data is contained in such articles so it would be of special usefulness if these were easily findable. In such articles there is summarized information on key aspects and places of regions as well as structured data like annual average temperature etc.

It doesn't have to highlight the city / state / forest / … boundaries, just be shown at a high zoom and for example a large button on the map.

Benefits (why should this be implemented?):
Make it easy to find such items which benefits users and also makes the associated Wikipedia articles more useful. This is especially useful for regions where there are many items.
