Automoderator configuration: False positive reporting page
Closed, ResolvedPublic2 Estimated Story Points

Description

User story: As an administrator I want to configure the location of our Automoderator false positive reporting page, so that new users can be directed towards it to report issues.

We'll need to know where the local false positive reporting page is (e.g. Wikipedia:Automoderator false positives) so that it can be used in various areas of the software (e.g. messages, T362965).

Communities would ideally like to be able to change this as an on-wiki configuration, but if that is not feasible, having it only be a MediaWiki config which we decide during setup is acceptable.

Note that we need to update the extension documentation page with this config var.

Note that page id can be easily grabbed from the info action of the page. eg. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Main_Page&action=info

This configuration only needs to be internal MediaWiki config, not on-wiki. We'll define it when the software is configured for a wiki.

Pages get moved or fall into disuse or preferences shift as to preferred pages. Will automoderator in the former case follow redirects? If the page is deleted, what will automoderator do?

This is probably one of the things that should definitely be onwiki.

The reason I parked it at only being MW config for now is that I have an open question about making it a wiki config, so thanks for bringing this up.

@jsn.sherman We're aiming to use this data in messages (e.g. Edit summary, talk page message). Is it feasible for us to store the data on-wiki and also access it for the purpose of inserting into these messages? I assumed there might be an issue with that, limiting us to having this as a MW config.
