Reduce options clutter on Special:RecentChanges and Special:Watchlist
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

There are too many switches on those pages, in particular for the days and edits limits: this makes the page cluttered and confusing. Moreover, I'm not even sure that those options are the most useful ones; and if you don't like them, you have to edit the URL directly, or (in some cases) "hardcode" the switches on your preferences (for which see bug 31882).
A way should be found to reduce the options and/or to provide them in a better way.
This is probably related to bug 31881 and could/should be solved together with it.

For watchlist, this would probably be bug 26022.

Not really, that doesn't reduce switches; but yes, it would be nice, see also the dependency bug 35007.

I would perhaps suggest to start with "a better way" (removing some of them may be reasonable, but imo as a last resort).

Is this solved by new filters sufficiently?

@Dvorapa yes I think so, although if anyone wants to work on this for the old watchlist / recent changes UI, this task could be re-opened.
