Testing new Codex color palette in skins and extensions
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Background

With the expansion of the Codex color palette (fully outlined in parent task) to feature a more wholesome (and possibly expading capabilities to wider palette color usage), we're touching a huge number of color tokens, both names and values. Not with big visual change impact, but in some colors visible enough in order to be careful upfront.
This carries, even with wide testing the possibility of unintended side-effects.

Goal

DST wants to upfront inform, collaborate and mitigate impact of teams relying on the current palette through the coming changes.
We're starting with this task, which we aim to expand with shared acceptance criteria etc.

The current rollout is meant to

  • have internal Codex thoroughly done,
  • providing a Patchdemo to be better able to test impact in a production-similar environment
  • working together with affected teams after a internal testing phase to guide on further alignment needs and feedback

Marking as stalled as this looks like a placeholder for now. I assume this will be fleshed out later.
