User story
As a contributor who is interested in community events, I want to learn about the Collaboration List via the Community Updates module, so that I can easily find other events and projects that may interest me.
Background
The Community Update module was developed as a way for newcomers and other users of the Newcomer Homepage to learn about community events that may interest them (Figma designs for the Community Updates module). If someone is interacting with the module, there is a chance that they are interested in events and/or other opportunities to collaborate and connect in general. If they are, we can make it easy for them to learn about more opportunities by visiting the Collaboration List. The Collaboration List, which is found via Special:AllEvents on any wiki that has the CampaignEvents extension enabled, lists all events that use Event Registration (with typically multiple new event per day) and WikiProjects of the wiki that the user is on. If we provide a link to the Collaboration List, then we can promote more connections between contributors on the wikis.
This work is a part of the effort to improve discoverability of the Collaboration List. The Campaigns team is first focused on adding links to the Collaboration List via Event Registration workflows (see T377861), but we are interested in other methods of promoting the Collaboration List once we close out that epic. In particular, we are interested in methods that reach new audiences outside of the Event Registration workflow, and promotion on the Newcomer Homepage may be a way of doing this.
Acceptance Criteria:
- Given that a wiki has the Community Updates module enabled,
- And there is a community event being promoted in the module,
- Then there should be an additional line of text at the bottom: "Visit the Collaboration List to find more events and communities."
- Collaboration List should be bold
- And if the wiki has the CampaignEvents extension enabled
- Collaboration List should link to Special:AllEvents on wiki that user is on
- And if the wiki has does not have CampaignEvents extension enabled
- Collaboration List should link to Special:AllEvents on Meta-Wiki

- And if there is no community event being promoted in the module (i.e., empty state),
- Then there should one main line of text: "Visit the Collaboration List to find more events and communities."
- Collaboration List should be bold
- Text can be larger & more prominent
- Same rules of linked text from above apply
- Then there should one main line of text: "Visit the Collaboration List to find more events and communities."
- And there is a community event being promoted in the module,
Notes
- There may be some user and/or technical complexities in redirecting a user to the Collaboration List on Meta-Wiki from another wiki. For example, maybe they do not want to be redirected to another wiki. So we may need some messaging to ask if they are okay being redirected to Meta-Wiki.
