Check impact of Temporary Accounts on Toolforge tools
Open, MediumPublic

Description

I am creating a tracking task to make sure that the deployment of Temporary Accounts is not breaking/affecting Toolforge tools, especially the most used ones.

Temporary accounts will be incrementally deployed to all wikis in the coming months, see Temporary_Accounts/Updates for the updated timeline.

If you manage a Toolforge tool and Temporary Accounts are breaking or affecting the functionality of your tool, please read the page Temporary_Accounts/For_developers.

You can also add your tool to the list of Impacted_tools and the Trust-and-Safety team will assist you in updating it to work with Temporary Accounts.

If you still have questions, or if you want to report an issue, please create a subtask of this task, including the following information:

  • Tool name
  • Did you manage to test your tool on a wiki where Temporary Accounts are already deployed?
  • Is the tool completely broken or only partially broken?

@sgrabarczuk I added a link to this task at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Trust_and_Safety_Product/Temporary_Accounts/For_developers/Impacted_tools -- let me know if you think it's useful, otherwise we can also close this task and ask people to link everything to T326816: [Epic] Update features for temporary accounts without differentiating between Toolforge and other gadgets, etc.
