VisualEditor: "Unknown error" corrupts page upon saving, but saving again fixes the problems it created
Open, StalledPublic

Description

Actual Results:
TeamGale added some citations and then saved the page. She received an "unknown error" and assumed that the page did not get saved. So she saved the page again. Upon checking the history, she found that both attempts to save the page had resulted in a new version:

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sakis_Rouvas&diff=605148987&oldid=605133988

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sakis_Rouvas&diff=605149076&oldid=605148987

However, the first diff removed the end of the page, including the reference secyion, external links, navboxes, succession boxes, categories, and more. These were automagically restored when she saved the second time.

Reproducible: Didn't try

TeamGale usually edits with Firefox 28 on Windows 8.

Column Prototype
This is a very early prototype of a persistent column. It is not expected to work yet, and leaving it open will activate other new features which will break things. Press "\" (backslash) on your keyboard to close it now.
