and the other 'my' permissions at all.
As far as I can see, this guidance isn't documented anywhere. It should at least be noted in DefaultSettings.php and [[mw:Manual:User rights]].

[[mw:Manual:User rights]] contains clear instructions about editmyoptions. I committed a pull request in github and clear instructions will be added to DefaultSettings.php file.

@D_konto: I am resetting the assignee of this task because there have been no signs of progress lately (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Resetting the assignee avoids the impression that somebody is already working on fixing this task and it also allows anybody else to potentially work towards fixing this task.
