Translation memory does not work correctly with translatable page variables
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

If you look at the data given by translation memory:

https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/api.php?action=translationaids&format=jsonfm&title=Translations%3ATech%2FNews%2F2014%2F29%2F1%2Ffi&utf8

The source texts contains <tvar> statements instead of $foo. This causes the more accurate suggestions get worse match than some less accurate suggestions, highly visible when translating the tech news.

For anyone encountering this bug, the merged patch does not retroactively fix already marked pages, unless they are remarked for translation.
