Thanks for this bug report.
Sorry for the late reply ( Its been a year :( )
If you are still using this it would be great if you could provide an example of a filename containing a slash. I am not sure if that is even okay to have?
The extension no longer has an API and uses a special page instead.
This was probably related to some Doctype and namespace declarations. I believe its been fixed now as I have my links working. If it still fails for you, please reopen and provide the exact link HTML which fails.
Fixed with the latest restructure of the extension.

Thanks for reporting this. Do you know what should be the fix for this?

On further debugging it seems that I have GD installed and the only problem is that the image size was somehow 0 bytes. I am using LocalS3Rep extension and it could be a bug in that extension causing the size 0.

Hi all,
Jul 1 2017
Is this really resolved? I see that the issue still occurs after the patch and another user has also reported the same:

Thanks @Anomie for all the help.
Ah, that second link is great, helped me figure out the actual issue. Its actually a bug in the Lockdown extension which I got to know just now :/

I just debugged this. Its returning "upload" which indicates that the user is not allowed uploading (see).

The MediaWiki version used is 1.27.1
However, as I noted the logged-in user is the admin and still seeing the message. And more strangely it was working fine and suddenly stopped working.

As I said I had switched to XAMPP and have been using that till now. Not sure if its still the same. If nobody is complaining, the bug can be closed though.

Saw this now. I am not working on it anymore.

I understand that's more of a comment on the code rather than this bug. I code is very messy, I need to fix it but first I need to make it working.

I have a VE plugin for SemanticMediaWiki extension that calls getFragment()
