@SD0001 I see the pull-request https://github.com/toolforge/quarry/pull/42 which addresses this, but is it really enough to fix the problem?
May 16 2024
The bug could not be reproduced locally on Quarry when running with docker-compose up.

@Zabe can you implement what @Umherirrender proposed in the comment above?

@Zabe but still 226 rows https://quarry.wmcloud.org/query/81529

Did I understand correctly that there are two scenarios that need to be addressed? The first scenario occurs when a user utilizes the 'add links' widget in Wiki A on a redirect page that is not linked to a Wikidata item. The second scenario happens when a user attempts to use the 'add links' widget in Wiki A to link a redirect from another Wiki B. In this second scenario, the page in Wiki A may also be a redirect.

If everything is good, may someone approve and merge? :)

@Arian_Bozorg If an anonymous user (or any other user without the AddLinks gadget) clicks on Links hinzufügen on a page that is not already connected to a Wikidata item (for example, a redirect like https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Landeshauptstadt_Dresden&redirect=no), they would be directed to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:NewItem?site=dewiki&page=Landeshauptstadt+Dresden. There, they could then set the correct redirect badge, or, if it's not a redirect, another necessary badge. For users with the AddLinks gadget, there is a similar task (T324419) which I plan to tackle after this one.

@Lucas_Werkmeister_WMDE wrote that he is pretty sure the error in https://integration.wikimedia.org/ci/job/mediawiki-quibble-apitests-vendor-php74-docker/49376/console is unrelated and can be ignored. Then what is the workflow now with this issue?

Do you know where there is a code for this add links” gadget? I only see in mediawiki/extensions/Wikibase repo RepoItemLinkGenerator.php where

@Lucas_Werkmeister_WMDE I believe that in cases of redirect, the 'intentional sitelink to redirect' badge should be added automatically. We can assume that if the user opens a redirect page and decides to attach it to Wikidata, they know what they’re doing. However, as I understand it, this is more related to T324419, although I'm still unclear about what the 'add links' gadget is. But let's broaden this task to the general issue of adding badges in Special:NewItem. The automatic addition of the 'intentional sitelink to redirect' badge to redirects could be managed within the Wikibase client. What are your thoughts?
@Lucas_Werkmeister_WMDE thank you for your comments. I am new here and therefore do not know many things. I have tried to implement checkboxes similar to those in Special:SetSitelink. Can you tell me if I am working in the right direction?
For me it is actually navigating to the Special:NewItem if there are no interlanguage links. And I could not find any “add links” gadget.

@Tacsipacsi as far as I understand we first need to allow creation of item with sitelinks to redirect, because client basically points to the Special:NewItem
@Lucas_Werkmeister_WMDE I want to start contributing to Wikibase, and for this purpose, I decided to begin with this issue. I've made an initial commit in which I've added the capability to create a new item with badges. Could you review it, please?

There is no such a namespace anymore, but the database was not cleaned up after the namespace reorganization, as far as I can see. There is no now namespace:104 (Tematica) in italian wikivoyage.
@Manuel Any updated on this issue?

This database also poses a problem for the bots that generate reports on Wikidata. You can see an example of this issue at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Database_reports/Sitelink_to_redirect_with_unconnected_target. The bot owner, @MisterSynergy, has mentioned that he is aware of the situation concerning itwikivoyage. This project used to have a namespace 104 ("Tematica"), and there are still a couple of pages defined in that now-undefined namespace in the database, including the five ones listed on the report. It appears that the database was not properly cleaned up after the namespace reorganization.
