New abusefilter to check unnecessary syntax additions in translated articles shows unclear warnings
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Newly created abusefilter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseFilter/765) to check unnecessary syntax additions in translated articles is displaying alerts of false positives to Content Translation users.

This needs to be tweaked to not show any warnings to users. However, translated pages affected by this filter will be appropriately tagged so that articles with unnecessary syntax that needs manual editing can be clearly identified.

I disabled this filter in Hebrew and English, but the real underlying issue is T136540. It triggers warnings not only in this filter, but in many others, so disabling this filter just treats one symptom and not the whole problem.

Amire80 renamed this task from New abusefilter to check unnecessary syntax additions in translated articles need to be redone to New abusefilter to check unnecessary syntax additions in translated articles shows unclear warnings.May 31 2016, 5:13 AM

Sorry, I meant T136596.

This shouldn't happen any longer now that T136596 is resolved.
