Evaluate using gestures to control font size of an article
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

As a user, i would like to control font size of an article with gestures.
As a designer, i would like to reduce number of explicit article actions.

Slightly updated transition (open to see animated gif):

text-resize-pinchzoom.gif (667×375 px, 1 MB)

  • Text-resize indicator animates over the article toolbar (toolbar icons fade up and out)

Event Timeline

I added a parent task. The lead image and the article footer at the bottom are native overlays, so the pinch zoom wouldn't seamlessly work if the user pinched those parts. (also, the text size slider doesn't affect these areas presently.) The parent task would make everything on the article size appropriately when the user either adjusts the text size via slider, or, if we choose, by pinch zoom.
