A first merged patch for this at https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/342198/.

The parsing code can be found in P5465 (yes it was a quick hack)

Is it beginner-friendly with some mentoring? I have no experience regarding wikidata... but am willing to learn given the chance that the task is even remotely possible for a novice.
