Description

For some pages, automatic language links may not be desired. We want to allow users to suppress automatic links using a magic word.

Should be easy enough!

I guess something like 'NOCOGNATELINKS' would suffice?

Fine to do but it should not have the name cognate in the magic word as editors complained about the name and we said they'd never actually get to see it.

Also: I'd like to see some user demand for this. @Lea_Lacroix_WMDE did you see anyone asking for this?
