"Read Article" text color in link preview not visible in dark mode
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

The color of the text "Read Article" in link previews Dark theme isn't visible. This isn't an issue if dark mode is enabled by the user but it is an issue when the link preview triggered from links in image descriptions are shown. This seems to require attention for the particular case of link previews displayed as result of links from image descriptions because the probability of an user viewing an image in a well-lit environment doesn't seem trivial.

Note : Well observed in a well-lit environment
Steps to reproduce

  1. Ensure light mode (theme) is enabled
  2. Go to the Glen Affric article
  3. Tap the lead image
  4. Tap the link in the lead image

Expected results
The text "Read Article" is readable in a well-lit environment as the reader hasn't enabled dark theme intentionally.

Actual results
The text "Read Article" isn't readable as the link preview is shown in a dark background.

Event Timeline

One more notable thing about that screen shot is the en: prefix in it. Shouldn't that be hidden ?

The en: prefix above seems to be shown in the screen shot as the description of the image is from commons. It isn't shown if the link generated by the same wikitext ([[w:en:Glen Affric]]) is found in any wiki article.
