I can only test this if it is not Android 8.0-specific, and if Galaxy/Nexus/ZTE can be QA'd instead of Pixel (TSG right now only has devices for Androids 4, 5, and 6).
@Nicholas.tsg you can test this with the devices you have . The issue was not device-specific.
Testing on Samsung-SM-JI20A Galaxy Express 3 (Android 6.0.1) and Wikipedia app 2.6.206-alpha-2017-12-05. This is fixed as seen in the attached video after exiting and relaunching the app I was able to change the language of the feed page.
