Compact language links popup vertical scrollbar takes the whole vertical space
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Checked in Chrome and FF58.

  1. Go to cawiki (it might be any other wiki) and find an article that displays 12 or more lang links for compact language links list.
  2. Click to display more languages and enter non-exissting language - the popup will display the vertical scrolling for suggested languages but the scroll bar takes the whole vertical space of the popup. Might be confusing for a user to realize that the scrolling is possible.

Note:The vertical scrollbar is functional -you can scroll with it without the problem.

Another example:

No issue when there are many languages:

Hm.

I couldn't reproduce it in Firefox or Chrome on Mac.

Can anybody else reproduce it?

@Amire80 Do you have some screenshots where the scrollbar looks different? I noticed that IE is better.

I don't have a scrollbar at all in Chrome usually. I can reproduce this if I make the screen small enough to force single column list of languages.

I can easily reproduce this on both FF an Chrome.
Having no results on a page shared as example in the description and shrinking browser window leads to the issue.
