Pam, feel free to add designs to this ticket when you're ready :)

Will do. Based on yesterday's design review, still working on revisions of the first modal screen.

@PDrouin-WMF any chance of adding designs to this ticket?

@Cparle yes! i have designs for the artwork scenario, but i am still redesigning the WD client editor. these are the designs @matthiasmullie is using for the depicts (adding/editing) prototype: https://wikimedia.invisionapp.com/share/NJOIMI9D6SX

(Adding Structured-Data-Backlog project tag as SDC Design / Structured-Data-Design project tags have been archived, and as tasks need to have an active project tag associated so they can be found on a project workboard. Not sure whether to also add Design.)

I would say that this is still a very relevant ticket and request. The distinction between artwork and file is coming up in conversations with GLAM staff all the time; the importance of the distinction is stressed by experts in the GLAM sector. We want the Commons community to be encouraged to model this correctly. And in order for Wikimedia Commons to be/stay an attractive platform for GLAMs around the world, files depicting creative works should be as discoverable as any other file on Commons.
