Investigate user behavior on the new AMC Watchlist page
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

In T235414, the Mediawiki core version of watchlist was deployed for AMC users. The assumption was that people wanted the filter functionality and the ability to navigate directly to user pages, talk pages, etc. via the additional links. Since then, editors have identified several issues summarized in T237204. Given this feedback it would useful to investigate:

  • On the AMC watchlist page, are people using the filters on watchlist?
  • On the AMC watchlist page, are people clicking on links other than “diff”?

Unassigning myself for now as I will be on leave until mid-April. The Product Analytics team will review and prioritize the request during the next board review meeting (2020-01-06).

@ovasileva what is the priority for this? Are there decisions in the near future that depend on this data?

@kzimmerman - this one would be medium to low. We can postpone it for now.

kzimmerman moved this task from Needs Investigation to Backlog on the Product-Analytics board.

Thanks @ovasileva; changing the priority to low and moving to our backlog (not currently planned for Q3). Please let us know if anything changes.

@ovasileva I'm declining this task as it no longer seems relevant given current team priorities and tasks; however, let me know if we should reopen and I can look into this.
