(In any case, tagging Platform Engineering if they also see value in this - if not we might want to improve existing project descriptions and/or set a #mediawiki-namespaces project tag alias (second hashtag) for an existing project tag?)

For Platform Engineering it doesn't really matter. We will not be using this tag in our processes - namespaces is not really a component, it's a concept, so I don't anticipate us ever 'working on namespaces'. If it's useful for some other housekeeping we do not oppose creating it.
