MobileFrontend search bar dropdown suggestions link directly to pages

Description

... while the search bar dropdown suggestions normally are links to index.php?search=<search_term>&title=<default search page>

Normally the two are equivalent, as there's code in MW to redirect exact search matches to the matching page. Whether the redirect happens is controlled by a preference that is off-by-default on commons, because on commons the suggestions are gallery pages which typically aren't as good as search results.

Example:

Could we get the links in MobileFrontend changed so that they don't lead directly to pages, but instead go via index.php?search=<search_term>&title=<default search page> please?

Our long term plan is to swap out the mobile search for the desktop search but that's probably going to take a while. Is this blocking work your side @Cparle ?
