Configure the Event Platform backend to accept events in the content_translation_event stream
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

In order for the Event Platform backend to accept events in this stream, the stream now needs to be added to the wgEventStreams and wgEventLoggingStreamNames config variables. For more details, see wikitech:Event Platform/Stream Configuration.

Event Timeline

Since this is work for the engineers, I think it shouldn't be in the analytics project.

@KartikMistry Could you please update the config as required?

Thanks, @KartikMistry! Assigning to myself so I don't forget.

Since the config change was deployed, we've been receiving about 14 events per day in the database. All are from either Test Wiki or Bangla Wikipedia, and all have event_type dashboard_open with event_source direct and translation_type section.

As far as I know, this is exactly what we expect based on the very early state of the instrumentation and the limited deployment of section translation.
