The WMF Design Research team humbly requests that the opt-in checkbox on the Welcome Survey be enabled for English, Spanish, and Arabic for a period of 5 days. This can happen at any time and can include weekend days.

Brief summary of previous activation
- checkbox was enabled for approximately 48 hours in late October, collecting
- around 2000 emails, of which approximately
- 800 were confirmed. Of these,
- we sent a recruitment message to 200 confirmed emails, and
- 60 people responded expressing interest in participating in an interview. From these,
- we sent scheduling emails to around 10 individuals, and
- we successfully completed 2 interviews with new account holders (one who signed up to edit and one who signed up in the expectation of access to more content in their topic of interest).
November 22 update
I updated the languages requested from English to English+Arabic+Spanish, since based on this ticket it looks like collection has not yet started. If it has already started, we can disregard this update and I will file a new request in coming weeks for ar+es
