While writing the usability test protocol for Places in T359196, we noticed that we would like more in-depth testing of the feature when users haven’t enabled location access in the system settings (1) or the app.
It’s essential that users can still use the feature without granting location access, e.g., if they search or navigate to a place on the map by using zoom in/out.
The task
QA will check at least the following scenarios:
- System location off / App location off (precise/approximate)
- System location on / App location off (precise/approximate)
- System location off / App location on (precise/approximate)
- No internet connection (which helps the GPS to be more efficient)
Please document if specific scenarios feel unexpected or don’t work correctly so we can take the necessary steps to improve them.
