Changed title to "Phantoms can be width:100% when the object they're meant to cover has a floated element alongside it"; looks like the phantom is generated to be as wide as its target "should" be, before the floats come into play. This can make it impossible to edit the floated item.

This issue also occurs for the following case:

1.Add an image
2.Add a gallery
3.Change the position of the image to the left
4.Select the gallery
5.Try to select the image

Observed Result:
Since the width of the phantom for the gallery is 100% , it is overlapping with the image and it becomes difficult to select the image after that.
