This fix was removed from https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/209740 in PS7; look at earlier PS to see the code. This bug is also solved by https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/209503/ , but that depends on a changeset which needs to be reimplemented using requests.
