Missing links and <big> in wikipedia-android-strings-* for ba language

Description

These башҡортса translations are causing our tests to fail:

  • about_translators_translatewiki is expected to include a link to TranslateWiki. For example, <![CDATA[This app was translated by the volunteer translators at <a href="https://translatewiki.net">translatewiki.net</a>.]]>
  • edit_save_action_license_anon is expected to include a link to our terms of use and the CC BY-SA 3.0 license. For example, <![CDATA[By saving, you agree to the <a href="https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Terms_of_Use">Terms of Use</a>, and to irrevocably release your contributions under the <a href="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/">CC BY-SA 3.0</a> license. Edits will be attributed to the IP address of your device. If you <a href="https://#login">log in</a>, you will have more privacy.]]>
  • wp_stylized is expected to have embedded HTML so that the first and last characters are within <big></big> tags. For example, <![CDATA[<big>W</big>IKIPEDI<big>A</big>]]>

Sent message to translator about 1st and 2nd, but I'm wondering whether the last one is really needed or not, because Wikipedia-android-strings-wp stylized/he is also not having <big></big> tag (@Amire80 why?).

I'd say that a lot of languages don't need those <big> tags. The English Wikipedia logo has larger W and A, but not the Hebrew Wikipedia, because Hebrew doesn't have capital letters. In fact, only Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Armenian alphabets have capital letters, so it's quite possible that the <big> tags should also be removed from Arabic, Chinese, Thai, languages of India, and so on.

The app developers may want to involve the legal and trademark people in this issue.

Most of all, this looks like a very nice and fun opportunity to get the community translators involved :)

For the Bashkir messages I also contacted User:Sagan, who is the leading translator to that language (AFAIK).

It may also make sense to mark them as FUZZY, but I'm not sure how is it done these days in translatewiki.net. Not having URLs that appear in the source message should mark the messages as FUZZY automatically, but I'm not sure that it's implemented. @Nikerabbit?

There is no check for missing links. You can fuzzy the messages manually.

Documentation of the three messages seems lacking, please improve:

  • If you don't want <a href="https://translatewiki.net">translatewiki.net</a> to be translated, you should insert it via a parameter;
  • no mention of what to do with the terms of use link (the most respectful solution is to link Meta-Wiki translations);
  • "fits the Wikipedia logo" is a bit unclear.

Within the Android app repo we have additional tests for translations. The one for a stylized Wikipedia logo currently skips Hebrew.

I don't think that all-caps letters are indeed in that message, this tag just make the leading "W" and trailing "A" bigger than "ikipedi" (or is your comment means that in Hebrew all letters must have same height? As Yiddish is also using <big></big>)
