this fix should really live upstream
on the android integration side, the bridge message handling is almost identical as for links and perhaps could be combined
this transform is not on ios
no known CSS customizations other than adding the app_media class
it might be preferable to hide the "play media" link with CSS rather than remove it from the DOM
