Description

Background

To gather feedback on new book styling, we would like to deploy the new book renderer to all projects along with the OCG renderer (similar to single-article PDFs)

Acceptance criteria

Add $wgCollectionFormats['electron'] = 'PDF'; Make sure it comes before other similar formats because we want this option to be displayed first in the drop-down list.
Deploy new renderer to all projects
Allow user to choose between old and new book renderer

This seems like a dupe of what @bmansurov is working on in T173018 ?

I think this task is about turning on the config variable.

Could we update which configuration variable that would be? It's very vague right now to know what this is referring to.

Ah got it. I thought we were doing this as part of T173018... does it make sense to have two tasks here? We won't be able to sign off T173018 until the swat happens will we?

@ovasileva may want to clarify. It's fine by me either way.

I would say that T173018: Add an option in Special:Book to download PDFs generated by ElectronPdfService would be the last portion of this ( Allow user to choose between old and new book renderer), but we can merge them as well

We can't do the SWAT deploy until T173018 is done (otherwise we'll be creating a broken experience) so I've merged these to get them done together.
