The translation dashboard allows users to filter the list of their in-progress and published translations to view only those where a certain language is involved.
The current labels are too verbose, making the selector too prominent for the value it brings (i.e., additional filtering that is not core to the translation process). Some options to shorten them:
- Any language > Any language. The selector makes the directionality already clear, so there is no need to spell out "to" and "from". In the same way that the selector reading "English > Greek" does not need the "to" and "from" in the selector, those can be removed from the default message too.
- All > All. Communicating that we show all the results seems enough to introduce the filtering area. Users looking for filtering a specific set of results will find out they can do so by selecting a language as they interact with the selector. Note that for each item in the list of articles we are already indicating the language pairs, which may help to make the connection.
