Description

On some Commons pages, there are two English captions. Additionally, if you scroll down a bit, there is ANOTHER set of captions. This is very similar to a previous bug seen on mobile (T216327)

Expected behavior:

There should be only one set of captions (right below the Open in Media Viewer button), and there should only be one caption for each language.

Note: purging pages where this problem occurs and doing a refresh does appear to fix the issue.

Changing priority to reflect the desire to work out all these caching issues (hopefully permanently) before we launch depicts.

I took a peek at this - it was the cached <mw:mediainfoView> that caused this- the same issue as T216327 which went to prod 2/22. Since a purge fixes the issue what do you think about just waiting till the cache expires for any remaining pages with the bug (by next weekend it will have been 22 days so we shouldn't see this again anywhere) @Ramsey-WMF ? I

Thanks for tackling this, @Ha78na ! There seem to be few instances of this bug remaining (but certainly more than zero, as it still happens on some of my old uploads) so I'm inclined to just keep an eye on it and assume cache expiration will magically fix everything for us, unless @matthiasmullie is up for doing another mass purge :). I'm moving this ticket to the monitoring column for now.
