Event Timeline

@Mbch331 As far as I can tell from the Wikipedia article Taíno never had a written language before it went extinct, so I'm not sure what would be put into these monolingual properties? And the code "car" is apparently for the modern-day Carib language, which doesn't go by Kalinago?

@jhsoby Maybe @MassiveEartha can tell more? That user requested the languages.

@jhsoby @Mbch331 I want to give the Caribbean islands, locations and peoples their native names (P1705) on Wikidata and label them with appropriate language code. European colonisers recorded the languages spoken in the Caribbean and there is a significant body of research to cite for the languages requested.

For the record, I'm fine with adding these. However I believe the correct language code for Kalinago is [crb](https://iso639-3.sil.org/code/crb) – [car](https://iso639-3.sil.org/code/car) is a different, though related, living language spoken in mainland South American countries, while crb was spoken in Caribbean islands just like Taíno.
