First noticed when trying to send the latest issue of the signpost on enwiki and globally on meta, confirmed with a test message on enwiki
Steps to reproduce:
Try to send a mass message via Special:MassMessage or the api
Expected result:
Mass message is delivered following successful send
Actual result:
Told message is queued, but its never delivered
Both of those are older tasks and mass messages were successfully being delivered between when those occurred and when this occurred, so it suggests that the issues have different causes
No it doesn't. It's possible they do, but these things come and go, and have for a few years. And it's usually similar issues underneath.
Did this persist? MassMessaging is a fickle thing due to job queue issues. I quite often has temporary problems to work around, but it worked fine for me on Monday, April 26, as far as I can tell.
