The icons at the beginning have a space sideways, at the end they are all compressed without a space

Much better in the version 2.7.50402-alpha-2022-06-02, however sometimes the spacer at the begging/end disappears. I understand this is a small bug. If you want you can leave it like this. It happens with only a few elements

I'm afraid we can't keep introducing more horizontal padding to these buttons. If we do, the text will start overflowing onto three lines (the buttons support only two lines), or become ellipsized (the label will become something like "Cronologia delle modif...").
