Mismatch Finder: add 'Missing Data on Wikidata' review status
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

In the Mismatch Finder Add a new review status to represent data is missing in Wikidata by selecting the option in the Status column.

Quoting @Sarai-WMDE in parent task comment:

I'd encourage us to provide a separate option to the dropdown menu: "Missing data on Wikidata". The option should be placed right after "Wrong data on Wikidata".

Event Timeline

https://github.com/wmde/wikidata-mismatch-finder/pull/474

Included phrasing changes (maybe for review by @Sarai-WMDE and/or @Lydia_Pintscher?):

confirmation-dialog-message-tip-1 changes from

If the mismatch is on Wikidata, please use the link to the statement and edit it there to resolve the mismatch.

to (emphasis added)

If the mismatch is on Wikidata, please use the link to the statement or item and edit/add it there to resolve the mismatch.

The new instruction message is:

Missing data on Wikidata: use this option if Wikidata does not have the data. Please use the link to the Wikidata item and add it there to resolve the mismatch.

And the label of the new status is, per the task description:

Missing data on Wikidata

Wasn't aware of these necessary copy changes. Thanks so much for bringing these up, @LucasWerkmeister 🙏🏻 Allow me to suggest some small alterations:

New confirmation-dialog-message-tip-1 message:

If the mismatch is on Wikidata, please use the link to the mismatch or the item and edit/add the information there to resolve the issue.

(Thought we should be more generic in order to cover future types of mismatches, such as labels which will link to the termbox).

The new instruction message. Probably a subjective nitpick 🙇 :

Missing data on Wikidata: select this option if Wikidata is missing information. Please use the link to the Wikidata item and add the missing data there to resolve the mismatch.

Alright, I updated the texts – thanks for the suggestions :)

Deployed, verification will take place in the parent task.
