Images seem to need explicit alignment set to work correctly in Special:ContentTranslation
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When this revision is loaded into Special:ContentTranslation, an incorrectly placed image appears in the beginning of the article:
https://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hindi&oldid=75062538

When this revision is loaded, then it is correct - the image appears correctly in the middle of the article:
https://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hindi&oldid=75062771

The only difference between the revisions is that the "right" parameter is used explicitly in this image:

It seems like VE or Parsoid autoremove the "right" parameter from images because it is the default.

I think this was an issue with the Parsoid-specific CSS in core, which was fixed by https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/138038/. This is deployed on group 1 wikis, but afaik not yet in group 2.

See https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51245 for related ongoing CSS work.

We now also link most styles directly in the Parsoid HTML output, which makes it easier to check rendering issues. Your example page would be http://parsoid-lb.eqiad.wikimedia.org/eswiki/Hindi?oldid=75062538.
