The Telegram chat network offers a convenient bot API. It would be pretty cool to translate at translatewiki.net using it.
|T131664 Allow translations at translatewiki.net via mobile chat apps
|T133060 Make a working Telegram chat bot that can authenticate with translatewiki.net usernames and make translations
|T133061 Make translatewiki.net Telegram bot authenticate by linking a Telegram username to a translatewiki.net username
|T133063 Install OAuth on translatewiki.net
|T133064 Make the translatewiki.net chat bot code less dependent on Telegram
|T159366 bring the Telegram bot tool back to life
|T159368 update node.js on tools.telegrambot
|T155063 Create Updated NodeJS container for Tool Labs
|T191488 Deploy Telegram Translation bot to a tool forge server, and make it available for testing
... And just to mention that I managed to make it work during the Hackathon and actually did some edits—some of them crappy, but good enough for a proof of concept ;) The demo was well-received.
I want to continue hacking on it. The next step would be to actually make it stable, working and able to authenticate with real usernames, and start rolling it out to adventurous translators.
Thanks to everybody who helped.
