Description

Per the parent task at T254646, we should rename the TitleBlacklist extension

Also, when renaming it, it would be a really good time to namespace the extension!

Alternatively we could just dump the feature into AbuseFilter and scrap the extension?

If you think merging functionality into Abusefilter a viable idea, that might welcome a dedicated task.

Despite discussing this at least as far back as Amsterdam (2013), apparently there wasn't a task, indeed. Filed: T279275: Move all the functionality of {Spam,Title}Blacklist extensions into AbuseFilter and retire them.

When we do this, could we also consider standarising the nomenclature on a hyphen separator?

At the moment the others are in the form Mediawiki:TARGET-blacklist

The TITLE series omits the hyphen and is Mediawiki:TARGETblacklist ==> Mediawiki:Title-denylist

Hi @Reedy ! I am a PM working on the OKR "removing the non-inclusive language". we have taken parent task T254646 as a guide of what should be changed. I'm trying to use T-shirt sizes to measure the effort required for each task to invite folks at the WMF to join and send proposals of which ones they'd like to change. The purpose of this estimation is to help folks decide which ones they'd like to tackle by giving them information about the effort.
