The TypeaheadSearch defaults to English Wikipedia when not configured, presumably for storybook.
While this is a great value for storybook, I think using the current host would be better default here (e.g. window.location.host) to avoid users inside the MediaWiki universe having to create configuration variables for it every time.

This has been resolved in Vector—the domain is set to the VectorSearchHost if configured, and falls back to location.host.
