Page contents is hidden behind a "Read as wiki page" link
What should have happened instead?:
Page contents should be visible

I’m not sure why the main page is treated as a talk page, but I’m quite sure it’s caused/made visible by T310960.
Change 811285 had a related patch set uploaded (by Esanders; author: Esanders):
[mediawiki/extensions/DiscussionTools@master] Revert "Hide the lede section on mobile when DiscussionTools is enabled"
The above will need backporting, then we can think about how to fix the issue properly.
In the mean time, I've applied a temporary fix to the site CSS: https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki%3AGadget-site.css&type=revision&diff=5323178&oldid=5003692
I’m not sure why the main page is treated as a talk page
The main namespace on mediawiki is in the extraSignaturesNamespaces list, so DT considers it a place where discussions may take place.
