Closed, ResolvedPublic5 Estimated Story Points

Description

Phase 3 << • Phase 4 • >> Phase 5/6

  • Background

As part of the Technical Decision Making Process, phase 4 is defined as "Research and prototype". Specifically:

Once the Forum has provided feedback on the problem statement, the decision team begins researching and prototyping solutions. This phase should have a well-defined scoped and time frame.

The decision team is responsible for checking in with the Forum every two weeks to share their progress. This is the time when stakeholders engage with the decision team, further models are developed, and prototyping occurs as needed.

Description

This ticket will cover completing all necessary subtasks, including prototypes and spikes

Solutions will be prototyped in T337411 and summarized here.

Acceptance Criteria

According to the outcomes of the TDMP:

  • Ensure that all relevant prototypes and spikes are subtasks of this task
  • Measure performance of each approach against a known set of metrics
  • Complete all subtasks
  • Summarize performance against these metrics for all prototype subtasks in this ticket

Reminder: please add a summary here of what we've done and what's left to do.

We've reviewed the various prototypes that have been created so far and based on our findings, we've put together a draft specification for the preference persistent feature, as an output of this phase of the process.

This document contains our current thinking on how this feature should be implemented and the various technical design considerations we've thought through.
