All wikis were switched to desktop history HTML for their mobile sites in T353388.
The old history page can now be safely removed which will address longstanding technical debt requests for example T340158 T312450 and mean the web team no longer maintains code relating to the history page.
TODO
- All code relating to SpecialMobileHistory should be removed
- The MFUseDesktopSpecialHistoryPage configuration option should be removed
QA Steps
- Clicking history page in article should take you to a URL which contains ?action=history
- Visiting https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:History/Spain as an anon should redirect to ?action=history
Sign off
- Close out T340158 and T312450
- After the code is deployed, remove all traces of MFUseDesktopSpecialHistoryPage in mediawiki configuration.
