User Story
As a reader, I want the text of the page to be readable in night mode across all templates, so that I can have all the information I need.
Background
As documented in https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Recommendations_for_night_mode_compatibility_on_Wikimedia_wikis#Always_define_color_when_defining_background defining background without color is now an anti-pattern given the advent of night mode it is not possible to assume that the text color is always going to be black.
We will need to work with communities to address this issue on the long run.
On the short term we will mitigate the work of communities need to do by:
- Add linting rules to detect the error on projects to allow communities to track this issue and address it themselves
- Updating common.css and templates where issue is identified
- Automatically fix any issues where possible.
